What you will do

• Act as a trusted point-of-contact for clients, nurturing long-term relationships and providing strategic consultancy.
• Build research roadmaps and proposals that deliver extraordinary business and creative value to clients.
• Design, project manage, and deliver high-quality games user research on time and on budget.
• Execute a variety of methodologies including lab playtests, usability tests, and remote research studies.
• Mentor colleagues and create training materials, articles, and talks to promote the importance of games user research.
• Embed research findings and a player-centric design philosophy into client development processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial User Research experience in games or mainstream technology.
• Academic background in HCI, psychology, interaction design, or product design (or equivalent industry experience).
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen to consistently deliver value.
• Expertise in diverse research designs, including experience conducting research with school-age children.
• Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle and the role of user research at each stage.
• Relocation to Montreal, Canada is required (financial and operational support provided for candidates within Canada).
