Service Mapping Officer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Identify service providers via field visits, coordination meetings, desk research, user surveys, and referrals.
• Develop tools like service entry forms, update templates, and provider agreements.
• Maintain continuous communication with providers for data accuracy and send previews for confirmation.
• Conduct field visits to verify services and access barriers.
• Coordinate with other actors to avoid duplication and work with Signpost moderators on user feedback.
• Review and update service map content, design, and train providers on its use.

Requirements

• Location: Based in Kampala, Uganda
• 3-5 years experience in service mapping and developing interactive/physical service maps.
• Experience in humanitarian organizations or contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, media, public information, or related field.
• Advanced English skills (oral and written)
• Experience with CMS systems; self-starter with attention to detail and clear communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in content editing, writing, and proofreading.
• User Centered Design experience.
• Strong interpersonal, time-management, analytic, and Microsoft Office skills.
