Principal Financial Analyst (SaaS)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $194,500–$263,500 per year, plus potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise leadership on one- and three-year strategic plans, risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
• Partner with Marketing and Analytics to develop and monitor KPIs supporting strategic and financial objectives.
• Build financial models for complex go-to-market scenarios, including promotions, pricing, sales channels, and product portfolios.
• Prepare month-end close packages, variance explanations, and other financial reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate with Accounting and business partners on the correct treatment of transactional activities.
• Lead process improvements, automation, team coaching, and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in FP&A roles, with strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Deep understanding of SaaS and experience in the high-tech industry preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with Hyperion Essbase is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, and present recommendations with confidence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, lead teams, and drive operational improvements.
• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience; MBA is a plus.
