Principal Solutions Engineer (AI)

Salary: $212,000–$265,000 USD annually, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own technical strategy and execution for complex, high-value enterprise opportunities and define the technical win.
• Advise CTOs, Heads of AI, and engineering leaders on long-term AI and LLM adoption strategies.
• Architect end-to-end solutions from discovery through pilots and productionization across ambiguous customer requirements.
• Lead executive presentations, technical deep dives, workshops, and multi-phase Scopes of Work.
• Align Sales, Product, and Engineering while resolving critical technical and business challenges.
• Influence the product roadmap, mentor Solutions Engineers, and improve the scalability of the Solutions Engineering function.

Requirements

• Deep technical background in customer-facing engineering, including pre-sales, forward-deployed, or post-sales roles at enterprise scale.
• Track record of owning and closing complex technical deals with Fortune 500 or equivalent enterprises.
• Systems thinking and architecture experience across cloud, data, and AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience advising executive stakeholders and influencing without authority across diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication, ownership, intellectual curiosity, and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI and LLM applications in enterprise environments.
• Background in forward-deployed engineering or production-grade ML systems.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
