Member of Technical Staff 4 (Networking & Security): Developing distributed, resilient, and highly performant network security products for enterprise customers with an accent on software-defined networking and micro-segmentation. Focus on building scalable security operations and governing environments independent of physical infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid/Remote. Candidates residing within 50 miles of a hirify.global office (e.g., Vancouver, San Jose, etc.) are required to work onsite a minimum of three days per week.

Salary: CAD $148,000 – $222,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop distributed and resilient network security products for large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Create functional specifications, design documents, and test plans following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with a geo-distributed team to deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability.
• Mentor junior team members and lead technical knowledge-sharing events such as tech talks and boot camps.

Requirements

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of software development experience focusing on Distributed Systems Architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
• Professional experience developing software for networking or security products (TCP-IP, VLAN, IP, ICMP, DNS).
• Strong fundamentals in Operating Systems, Multi-threaded/Multi-Process Applications, IPC, and RPC.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.
