Salary: $96,000 - $132,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark, Iceberg, Databricks, and AWS.
• Architect scalable solutions for extracting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data using modern data lake patterns.
• Partner with analytics teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data marts.
• Monitor data pipeline performance and implement scalability improvements.
• Mentor team members and conduct code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with big data cloud-based technologies.
• Experience building projects with Databricks and Iceberg is required.
• Solid understanding of AWS and working knowledge of Python and Java for ETL workflows.
• Must be based in Toronto or St. John's for hybrid work (at least 3 days in-office).

Nice to have

• Leadership experience or a strong mentoring background in architectural decisions.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
• Familiarity with cloud security architecture.
• Experience with modern BI tools and semantic layer technologies.
