What you will do

• Build and productionize machine learning and optimization systems for marketplace routing and allocation decisions.
• Define success metrics, evaluate model performance, and support experimentation to improve business outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Applied Science to frame problems and align on technical approaches.
• Write and maintain production-quality Python and SQL code for model deployment, monitoring, and diagnostics.
• Identify system limitations and improve the fairness, reliability, and explainability of decision systems.

Requirements

• Experience in applied science or data science building production systems that drive business decisions.
• Hands-on proficiency with machine learning models in production using Python and SQL.
• Strong statistical, mathematical, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research) or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in Mexico City or the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale marketplace systems, including observability and monitoring.
• Proficiency with Bayesian modeling frameworks, specifically PyMC.
• Experience using dbt or similar data modeling and management workflows.
