What you will do

• Architect and build the Agentic Data Plane (ADP) as the control and execution layer for AI agents.
• Translate emerging AI research and industry shifts into concrete engineering proposals and product bets.
• Define architectural patterns for ADP capabilities, integrating them with runtime, policy, and observability layers.
• Collaborate with strategic customers to stress-test new capabilities in real enterprise deployment scenarios.
• Act as a technical ambassador by publishing research, writing blog posts, and speaking at conferences.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive efforts to reduce operational toil.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience leading the design of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building agentic AI infrastructure (e.g., orchestration layers, AI gateways, eval frameworks).
• Fluency in AI-assisted development and composing multi-agent coding workflows.
• Deep expertise in a systems language, preferably Go.
• Understanding of streaming data systems, messaging infrastructure, or data plane/control plane architectures.
• Experience designing systems that enforce access control, policy, and auditability at scale.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI safety, alignment, or responsible AI research for autonomous systems.
• Experience with protocol buffers, protoreflect, and codegen.
• Background in security, identity, or data governance systems.
• Experience running Kafka, hirify.global, or Postgres at scale.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Prior experience in an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
