Manufacturing Engineer II: Analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing methods, sequences, specifications, and equipment for production/assembly of energetic materials products with an accent on efficiency, safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Location: Chandler, AZ, United States. US citizenship required due to U.S. Government contractual requirements and ITAR (U.S. Persons only).
Salary: $66,900–$124,300

What you will do
- Provide hands-on identification and resolution of factory floor manufacturing issues.
- Participate in sales order kickoffs, review manufacturing instructions, and verify or design tooling/equipment.
- Lead process failure investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Manage status communications with management and customers.
- Identify and implement process, flow, and tooling improvements for productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Aid in design reviews for manufacturable products and lead process FMEA and hazards analysis.
- Develop and execute capital appropriation requests for projects.
Requirements
- US citizenship or U.S. Person status required due to ITAR and export controls.
- Experience in weld process development/validation and Design of Experiments.
- Knowledge of statistical software like Minitab and Process Excellence tools (LEAN, Six Sigma).
- BS in engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years in technical/manufacturing environment with strong project management skills.

- Six Sigma or LEAN certification.
