What you will do

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for injection molding processes to maintain and improve yield and product quality
• Evaluate and maintain mold components including cavities, mold bases, and core pins
• Partner with external vendors to manage mold maintenance and spare parts
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for efficiency
• Optimize machine and equipment layouts to enhance workflow and productivity
• Develop process sequences and tooling specifications, incorporating inspection and testing requirements
• Monitor equipment performance, lead root cause investigations, and apply statistical process control methods
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide design for manufacturability guidance and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of related experience (or advanced degree)
• Strong plastics and injection molding background for hands-on manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting medical device or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
• Knowledge of mold tooling, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at time of hire (no sponsorship for roles below Principal level)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SPC, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), Lean, and Six Sigma
• Experience working with external vendors and suppliers
• Ability to analyze data and drive data-informed decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
