What you will do

• Define, develop, and execute functional validation for CPU internals and system-level features.
• Apply hardware/software tools to ensure coverage of performance, power, and area goals.
• Review design changes for impact on validation plans and timelines.
• Develop validation methodologies, test plans, and postsilicon infrastructure like performance monitors.
• Perform silicon debug, root cause analysis, and resolve functional failures.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and manufacturing teams across product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM + 2+ years experience, OR Master's +1 year, OR PhD
• Knowledge of CPU architecture
• Courses in VLSI/Digital Design or related
• Coding in C/C++, Python
• Primary location: US, Texas, Austin; hybrid model requires on-site time

Nice to have

• Master's/PhD with CPU design/verification/architecture experience
• Verilog, SystemVerilog, x86 assembly
• Use of AI agents in projects
• RTL simulation/emulation, debugging
• Lab hardware knowledge (scope, power supply)
