What you will do
- Define, develop, and execute functional validation for CPU internals and system-level features.
- Apply hardware/software tools to ensure coverage of performance, power, and area goals.
- Review design changes for impact on validation plans and timelines.
- Develop validation methodologies, test plans, and postsilicon infrastructure like performance monitors.
- Perform silicon debug, root cause analysis, and resolve functional failures.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and manufacturing teams across product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM + 2+ years experience, OR Master's +1 year, OR PhD
- Knowledge of CPU architecture
- Courses in VLSI/Digital Design or related
- Coding in C/C++, Python
- Primary location: US, Texas, Austin; hybrid model requires on-site time
Nice to have
- Master's/PhD with CPU design/verification/architecture experience
- Verilog, SystemVerilog, x86 assembly
- Use of AI agents in projects
- RTL simulation/emulation, debugging
- Lab hardware knowledge (scope, power supply)
- Strong analytical/debugging and collaboration skills
