What you will do

• Translate high-level architecture direction into scalable and maintainable software designs.
• Guide the engineering team to deliver high-quality, observable, and testable code.
• Collaborate closely with product, platform, and engineering teams on system design.
• Maintain operational ownership of the architectural implementation.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Java 21 and modern JVM-based backend development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot 3.x ecosystem (Web, Security, Data JPA, Cache).
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and mTLS implementations.
• Knowledge of gRPC streaming and Pub/Sub messaging patterns.
• Advanced Kafka patterns (schema evolution, idempotent producers).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and sidecar security patterns.
• Experience with contract and performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
