What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of HIL test plans for autonomous software and hardware integration.
• Perform bench-level testing of compute modules and sensors, including static vehicle-level HIL simulations.
• Measure and analyze software performance metrics such as latency, throughput, and CPU/memory utilization.
• Design automated test suites and integrate workflows with AWS for scalable data analysis and regression tracking.
• Collaborate with Autonomy and Systems Engineering teams to translate edge cases into repeatable test cases.
• Monitor vehicle communications and document anomalies to define safety-critical validation metrics.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Ann Arbor, MI
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience testing safety-critical systems (software, firmware, or hardware), preferably in automotive.
• Direct experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and system-level validation.
• Deep understanding of CAN networks, vehicle communication protocols, and Ethernet (UDP/TCP).
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record

Nice to have

• Master's degree in an applicable engineering field.
• Experience testing ADAS vehicles or autonomous robotic systems.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ for test scripting and data analysis.
• Experience using AWS for data storage, compute, or CI/CD integration.
