What you will do

• Design, implement, and execute software verification for AV/ADAS platforms using HIL, SIL, and VIL environments.
• Monitor system tests, analyze diagnostics from a full-vehicle perspective, and triage AV Platform software issues.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks to increase test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
• Ensure tests align with safety and regulatory standards, including ISO 26262, SOTIF, and FMVSS.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and hardware teams to perform root-cause analysis for Linux/QNX-based software.
• Participate in failure analysis activities such as FMEA and Ishikawa/Fishbone investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Python, C, or C++ through coursework, internships, or projects.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts (regression, automation) and Linux development environments.
• Exposure to vehicle or networked systems, including basic knowledge of CAN or Ethernet.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate test vehicles.
• Ability to work in lab and vehicle environments in Michigan.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with HIL/SIL/VIL test environments or simulation benches.
• Experience with Robot Framework, CAPL, or Vehicle Spy for test automation.
• Familiarity with RTOS, embedded Linux, QNX, or ROS in robotics/autonomy projects.
• Experience with network debugging tools like Wireshark, CANoe, CANalyzer, or INCA.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (SOME/IP, DDS, UDS/ISO 14229).
