What you will do

• Develop and update technical documentation including operation manuals, specifications, and compliance reports for aerospace systems.
• Translate engineering data (CAD models, test results) into procedural documentation for operators and maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and system architects to ensure content accuracy.
• Produce diagrams and visual aids to enhance the understanding of complex workflows.
• Manage documentation repositories and ensure strict version control.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, FAA, ITAR) and defense style guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of technical writing experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the aerospace or defense industry.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare and Git.
• Experience creating technical illustrations using Visio, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Ability to conform to professional style guides.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of unmanned aerial systems and ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Familiarity with PLM systems or manufacturing execution software (e.g., PICO MES).
• Professional exposure to military specifications and EASA regulations.
