What you will do

• Write concise and accurate radio bulletin stories with strong editorial judgement under pressure.
• Present live radio bulletins on hirify.global Radio Ulster and hirify.global Sounds, uploading for on-demand services.
• Deal with complex editorial and legal issues.
• Contribute daily to original journalism production by the hirify.global News NI team.
• Work with digital team and wider newsroom for integrated multi-platform content.
• Be prepared to work across newsroom departments as needed.

Requirements

• Strong journalistic skills and passion for news and current affairs.
• Ability to write engaging news stories for multi-platform audiences to tight deadlines with grasp of editorial/legal issues.
• Experience producing and presenting live radio news bulletins with strong broadcasting voice.
• Sound knowledge of politics, current affairs in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and beyond.
• First-class production skills, sharp news judgement and handling complex issues under pressure.

• Creative storytelling with reputation for original journalism, contacts and persuasion skills.
• Ability to produce impactful journalism aiding audience understanding.
