What you will do

• Improve the quality of ads using in-session and offline signals via ML modeling, simulation, and online feedback.
• Identify opportunities to make a direct impact on customers and the search experience.
• Build scalable real-time ML solutions in collaboration with software engineers and product managers.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B experiments to drive revenue and enhance the shopper experience.
• Apply reinforcement learning, causal inference, and LLMs to continuously optimize ad selection.

Requirements

• Must be based in or authorized to work in Seattle, WA, USA.
• PhD, or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in CS, CE, ML, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience building models for business applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Strong expertise in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, and distributed computing.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling tools: scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, NumPy, or SciPy.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop or Spark.
