What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to MLEs and SWEs, driving design reviews and setting technical standards for content understanding.
• Develop evaluation and quality monitoring systems for signals using SOTA LM-judge practices.
• Build content understanding capabilities for commercial conversations, including sentiment, stance, and product entity detection.
• Lead the design and implementation of signals pipelines and a unified signals registry for scalable serving.
• Drive LLM best practices, including deciding when to prompt, finetune, or distill models to replace external APIs.
• Manage the full ML lifecycle, designing resilient MLOps pipelines and championing responsible AI practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of MLE experience delivering production ML systems at scale, ideally in Ads or content understanding.
• Demonstrated staff-level leadership in driving architecture decisions and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record shipping NLP and Language models to production with clear business outcomes.
• Practical experience using LLMs in production for labeling, evaluation, or distillation.
• Deep proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Python, and familiarity with a statically typed language like Go, Java, or C++.
• Must be based in the United States.
