What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and DevOps teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to secure coding standards.
• Troubleshoot defects and optimize application performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or pass public trust clearance (requires living in the US for at least 3 of the previous 5 years).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Proficiency with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Nice to have

• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Prior experience supporting federal or highly regulated environments.
