What you will do

• Develop and maintain a fleet of microservices for a payment gateway using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners through the entire SDLC.
• Resolve production issues and participate in a 2-week on-call rotation to support the production environment.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for developed APIs and apply industry design patterns.

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of experience developing Java-based web applications in an agile (SCRUM) environment.
• Foundational knowledge of Spring framework, Spring Boot, JUnit, Maven, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with distributed system architecture, RESTful services, and SQL databases.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA; no visa sponsorship provided.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Code and a growth mindset toward learning new technologies.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working with payment gateways.
• Experience with JavaScript, Angular, or Mobile development.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and working within CI/CD environments.
• Experience using Copilot or other AI tools as part of the development process.
