What you will do

  • Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring safety and environmental compliance for all staff and contractors.
  • Coordinate and supervise shift personnel, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Manage the CMMS preventative maintenance system and update SOPs and operator logs.
  • Direct corrective actions and coordinate personnel during emergency or unusual operational situations.
  • Manage waste receipt activities in the tipping floor area and oversee facility water analysis.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure project completion.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Lorton, VA, USA.
  • 5-7 years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric generation equipment.
  • ASME QRO Site Specific Operator Certification (or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to meet physical demands: lifting 50lbs, climbing, working at heights, in confined spaces, and wearing a full-face respirator.
