What you will do

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CA Datacom databases in z/OS mainframe environment.
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive workload optimization for high availability.
  • Develop and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Manage user access, security with RACF/ACF2, and implement policies to protect data.
  • Handle incident, problem, and change management using ITIL processes, including root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate database projects, propose enhancements, and support end users and developers.

Requirements

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) required for documentation and collaboration.
  • Expertise in CA Datacom database administration on IBM z/OS.
  • Strong mainframe knowledge: z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2/SDSF, SMP/E.
  • Performance tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and DR expertise.
  • Mainframe security (RACF/ACF2), incident/change management, automation (REXX, CLIST).

Nice to have

  • Spanish language proficiency for Latin America teams.
