Food Safety Associate - Part Time

What you will do

• Monitor food production and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Perform refrigeration, chemical concentration, temperature, labeling, and thermometer calibration checks.
• Communicate kitchen sanitation requirements, including handwashing, protective equipment, equipment cleaning, and prep-station sanitizing.
• Conduct daily facility compliance walks, department audits, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Food Safety, and Facilities teams to resolve safety and quality issues.
• Keep the commissary inspection-ready and provide cooler-function and sanitary-transport data.

Requirements

• Experience in a highly compliant food processing facility governed by USDA or FDA requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts in plain language.
• Ability to work independently, build relationships, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with G Suite or Google Workspace.
• Ability to work 30–40 hours per week.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency required.
