What you will do

• Lead development projects or coordinate complex sub-projects in high-precision optical components and systems, including transfers between Excelitas locations.
• Plan work packages, costs, and timelines using project management tools and methods.
• Organize and lead interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication with partners.
• Contribute to technical concepts and ensure compliance with specifications, costs, and schedules.
• Identify risks early, assess impacts, and develop solution-oriented measures.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates, representing the team internally and to clients.

Requirements

• Degree in physics, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, or industrial engineering; ideally with knowledge of technical optics or optical instrument engineering.
• Several years of experience leading projects or complex sub-projects, proficient in project management tools and methods.
• Excellent communication skills for national and international partners and customers.
• Teamwork, conflict resolution, assertiveness, resilience, flexibility, independent and structured work style.
• Willingness to travel internationally for business.
