What you will do

• Design and build shared platform capabilities supporting trusted data products across teams
• Develop internal services, tooling, and automation to improve usability and reduce manual effort
• Create reusable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, publishing, and operational workflows
• Build and maintain platform components using Python, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices
• Define secure integration approaches for tools and SaaS solutions
• Strengthen operability through observability and automation; contribute to AI-assisted workflows
• Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent + 5+ years in software/platform/data platform engineering
• Strong Python programming; experience building production systems, services, APIs, or tooling
• Deep hands-on AWS experience in cloud environments
• Experience with data platforms or data-intensive systems; Terraform or IaC tools
• CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab CI); designing reliable, maintainable systems
• Familiarity with secure connectivity and enterprise integrations; strong communication skills

Nice to have

• Building/supporting internal platform tooling for data users
• Modern data tech (Snowflake, dbt, Redshift); metadata/governance workflows
• Observability practices; AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude); developer experience improvements
