What you will do

• Develop the storage platform that reliably stores customer data for B2 Object Storage and Computer Backup products.
• Improve data durability and increase system throughput.
• Drive architectural changes to meet long-term service requirements.
• Collaborate on design, implementation, testing, and rollout across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of OOP experience (Java, Rust, C++, C#, etc.) in enterprise environments (personal projects excluded)
• Experience building large-scale software systems on thousands of servers
• Comfort with all aspects of software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, rollout
• Curiosity-driven approach: understand before solving
• Analytical thinking for ambiguous problems

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Java or Rust
• Experience building and interpreting models, dashboards, or reports
• Familiarity with hard drive performance
• Understanding of Linux internals and file systems
