Mechanic (Heavy Duty)

Salary: $7,057.00 - $7,567.00 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Perform skilled mechanical repair, including overhauling engines and transmissions.
• Conduct electrical and electronic diagnosis and fault finding for various vehicle types.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles according to Provincial Vehicle Inspection Program requirements.
• Service and maintain EV, Hybrid, and CNG vehicles.
• Fabricate, upfit, and modify vehicles using sheet metal facilities and welding techniques.
• Train and monitor the work of apprentices and instruct operators on equipment use.

Requirements

• Trade certification to a journeyperson level as a Truck and Transport or Heavy-Duty Mechanic.
• Technical certification as an authorized Commercial/Private Vehicle Inspector.
• Valid BC Drivers class 3 license with air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to bring own tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Workday is an asset.
