What you will do
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule event staff, developing training manuals and ensuring adherence to policies.
- Provide facility tours, lead event planning meetings, and act as main contact for corporate, wedding, and event clients.
- Manage bookings, payments, and registrations using PerfectMind software and POS systems; set and meet sales targets.
- Coordinate event setups, liaise with vendors, digitize floor plans, and maintain calendars across tools.
- Oversee customer service, risk management, inventory, and operational logistics including cash handling and IT support.
- Update social media, create content, analyze marketing data, and maintain listings with tourism associations.
Requirements
- Two-year diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or Event Management; minimum two years related experience or equivalent.
- On-site in Richmond, BC; flexible irregular hours including evenings/weekends; full Class 5 driver's license; able to lift 50lbs.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, CSS/HTML/WordPress preferred.
- Experience in event management, client service, facility operations, staff supervision, budgets, and finance.

- Supervisory experience in facility or office management.
