Legal Counsel (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hybrid in Longueuil, QC, Canada. Must be a member of the Bar of Quebec or another Canadian province.

Independent renewable energy producer with a global portfolio of hydroelectric, wind, and solar assets.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and revise commercial contracts for renewable energy projects.
• Ensure follow-up of legal commitments before and after the closing of financing, acquisition, and development projects.
• Coordinate and manage legal aspects of setting up community and financial partnerships.
• Advise all business units on all legal aspects of the Corporation's activities.
• Manage litigation files.

Requirements

• Membership in the Bar of Quebec or another Canadian province is required.
• Relevant experience in financing, acquiring, or developing renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and high ethical working standards.
