Salary: $150,000-$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead pre-construction planning from early development to execution readiness, including risk registries, contingencies, and governance tools like execution plans and cost control systems.
• Oversee cost estimating and budgeting for wind, solar, and hydro projects, maintaining pricing databases and reconciling with actuals.
• Facilitate handovers between development, construction, and operations teams while integrating engineering into procurement and construction planning.
• Support value engineering, due diligence for acquisitions, permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder coordination.
• Monitor market intelligence, industry trends, and engage in networking to inform strategic decisions.
• Mentor and manage a team of estimators and strategic planners, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years experience in development and/or construction of wind and solar projects in the United States and/or Canada.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role, formal or functional.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong project management and leadership skills with deep understanding of renewable energy project development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficient with MS Office suite (especially Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel).
• Service-oriented, self-starter able to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
