State Account Director (Public Safety SaaS): Lead state-level government affairs and strategic public sector initiatives to support funding and adoption of public safety technology solutions with an accent on legislative engagement, appropriations, procurement strategies, and cross-functional projects. Focus on building partnerships with officials and stakeholders, managing lobbyists, and advancing statewide implementations, pilots, and contract executions.
Location: U.S. (Remote). Must be legally authorized to work in Canada, obtain and maintain Reliability security clearance from Government of Canada, and comply with FBI CJIS Security Policy including fingerprint-based background check.

What you will do
- Lead state-level government affairs strategies including legislative engagement, appropriations, and procurement for public safety technology.
- Execute cross-functional strategic projects for government program implementation, pilots, and statewide initiatives.
- Serve as primary liaison with state/local officials, legislators, agencies, and stakeholders to build long-term partnerships.
- Drive procurement strategies, RFP positioning, funding alignment, and contracting with internal teams.
- Track, report progress, outcomes, and impact of initiatives; support long-range public sector planning.
- Manage external lobbyists and directly engage policymakers to advance initiatives and represent company interests.
- Own strategic state-level accounts, coordinate resources, and lead activities to contract execution and revenue.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years in government sales or strategic account management; proven SaaS sales to state agencies.
- Demonstrated expertise in state procurement, contracting, compliance processes.
- Strategic planning and account management expertise; exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics; strong problem-solving and relationship-building.
- Experience owning/expanding state-level accounts; legally authorized to work in Canada with required security clearances.
