Mostly remote with access to offices in Denver CO, New York NY, Dallas TX (US), and Lisbon (Portugal); salary varies by US location (higher-cost markets: CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT, MA, DC); some travel required for team meetings (1x/month or quarter).
Base Salary: $186,000 - $212,000 (TTC: $214,000 - $245,000, includes 15% target bonus).

What you will do
- Research and develop AI/non-AI algorithms for coronary CT imaging.
- Translate product/clinical requirements into algorithmic specs with Product and Clinical teams.
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs for submissions (510(k), De Novo, PCCP) and evidence generation.
- Collaborate with engineering to deploy solutions in clinical practice.
- Communicate findings via documentation, presentations, and demos to stakeholders.
- Contribute to IP through patents and publications.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering/Imaging or related + 3+ years postdoc/industry; OR M.S. + 5+ years relevant experience.
- R&D in medical image processing with deep learning for image enhancements, optical flow, CT harmonization.
- Publications in top venues (MICCAI, IEEE TMI, CVPR, Medical Image Analysis).
- Strong Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch experience.
- Experience with ITK, OpenCV, VTK.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- 3+ years industry in AI-based medical device development/deployment.
- Experience with FDA submissions (De Novo, 510(k), PCCP).
- Deep knowledge in cardiovascular imaging/CT workflows.
