TL;DR

Salary: $85,000-$105,000

What you will do
- Provide in-house expertise on electricity sector policy, advocacy, and related topics, focused on U.S. state and federal policy and regulatory ecosystems.
- Identify, synthesize, and communicate key technical and economic trends across the electricity sector, including industry players, government organizations, and regional markets.
- Conduct policy research and deliver informed analysis on policies' contribution to the U.S. electricity sector.
- Collaborate with the U.S. Advocacy team on policy and advocacy activities.
- Engage external stakeholders including federal and state policymakers, industry leaders, and NGOs to drive policy and advocacy aligned with CATF’s strategy.
- Serve as spokesperson on electricity sector policy at high-level meetings, conferences, and public forums.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CATF teams to align initiatives with decarbonization goals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of electricity-sector experience
- Subject matter expertise in electricity sector regulation, integrated resource planning, and market design preferred
- Successful lobbying/advocacy experience a plus
- Proven skills in team collaboration, managing projects with tight deadlines
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, follow-through, and commitment to high-quality work
- Excellent written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills
- Capable of working in a virtual office environment; willingness to travel occasionally
