Europe Policy Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention

Europe Policy Manager (Methane Pollution Prevention): Develop and advocate for policies promoting methane reduction in energy, waste, and agriculture sectors across Europe with an accent on EU institutions, national governments, and technical capacity building. What you will do

• Monitor, evaluate, and develop methane mitigation policies, including MRV standards and trade-based tools, across energy, waste, and agriculture.
• Lead policy education, advocacy, and outreach to public officials, regulators, and institutions at EU and national levels.
• Build and manage coalitions with NGOs, industry, experts, and governments; facilitate webinars, trainings, workshops.
• Engage stakeholders, represent CATF in media, forums, conferences; author reports, blogs, white papers.
• Support regional strategy development, operations, budget management, and project delivery.

Requirements

• BSc/BA required (MSc/MA preferred); 5+ years relevant professional experience.
• Thorough knowledge of EU climate policy, institutions, and legislative system.
• Proven expertise in methane mitigation (professional or educational).
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Coalition-building, networking; professional fluency in English (French, German, Spanish, or Italian preferred).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally several times per year.

Nice to have

• Proven experience in EU/national policy design, NGO coalitions, lobbying/advocacy, environmental advocacy.
