What you will do

• Define company-wide causal inference and experimentation standards, including guidelines for Bayesian methods.
• Develop a "confidence ladder" framework to map data findings to levels of certainty for business decision-making.
• Design learning strategies for high-impact domains such as provider activation, payer economics, and marketplace dynamics.
• Standardize Bayesian experimentation practices, including priors and posterior interpretation, to improve decision quality.
• Solve complex measurement problems involving spillovers, network effects, selection bias, and Simpson's paradox.
• Partner with Engineering and Data Platform teams to ensure scalable instrumentation and trustworthy learning foundations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience applying causal inference and advanced statistics to product or operational decisions.
• Deep expertise in both randomized and observational settings, and strong judgment on Bayesian vs frequentist approaches.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and either Python or R for building reusable analysis tools.
• Proven track record of setting organization-wide standards that improved execution velocity and decision quality.
• Executive-level communication skills to drive alignment across Product, Growth, Ops, and Finance.
• Must be based in New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience in marketplaces, healthcare, or insurance within complex incentive systems.
• Knowledge of causal graphs, uplift modeling, and decision theory framing.
