Senior Software Development Engineer (AWS CloudFront)

What you will do

• Build reliable, scalable, and low-cost services for delivering content from the edge.
• Lead the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling strategies.
• Develop and operate large-scale web services backed by AWS cloud services.
• Bring new features and technology products from scoping through launch and production operation.
• Collaborate with engineers, mentor team members, and contribute to iterative development in an agile environment.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical systems while improving customer experience.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship software development experience, including recent development experience.
• Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Strong programming experience in a modern language such as Java, C++, C#, Rust, or C.
• Experience designing and architecting reliable, scalable systems and applying object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP, plus web services technologies such as REST.
• Based in London, United Kingdom, with comprehensive relocation packages available.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with low-level optimizations and eBPF.
• Experience operating large-scale systems and completing the full software development lifecycle.
