What you will do

• Design and implement core system architecture for a real-time, high-stakes distributed platform.
• Own the entire lifecycle of systems from initial concept and design through to production deployment.
• Translate ambiguous, high-level objectives into concrete, scalable technical solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency constraints, and complex system failures.
• Drive technical direction and establish engineering best practices and code quality standards.
• Collaborate with product and business functions to align technical decisions with economic outcomes.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Rust and strong systems programming experience.
• Extensive experience building distributed systems with real-world constraints regarding latency and scale.
• Proven ability to design complex systems from scratch, balancing performance, complexity, and reliability.
• Track record of end-to-end ownership in ambiguous environments with minimal structure.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and agent-based workflows to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain consensus internals, validator client architecture, or low-level protocol development.
• Background in systems where both correctness and low latency are mission-critical.
• Familiarity with virtual machines or low-level execution environments.
