About the Role

You will act as the main technical counterpart for large partners, translating partner requirements into technical approaches, designing end-to-end architectures across APIs, smart contracts, custody and compliance, and running architecture workshops. You will produce architecture diagrams, specs and integration playbooks, coordinate across internal teams to unblock launches, work with partner engineering to bring solutions to production, and turn field learnings into reference architectures and improved documentation. You will keep up with DeFi, Ethereum and regulatory developments and communicate complex topics clearly across teams and time zones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience owning complex systems
• Significant experience working with external partners in solutions architecture, integration engineering, or technical pre-sales
• Deep understanding of at least one major DeFi protocol or solid grasp of lending and borrowing mechanisms
• Strong architecture skills across smart contracts, APIs/SDKs, custody and compliance constraints
• Working knowledge of Solidity; able to read, review, and debug smart contracts and integration flows
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and AI coding tools
• Experience designing or implementing integrations across multiple systems (APIs, smart contracts, custody providers) in production
• Excellent written communication to produce clear specs, integration guides, and partner-facing documentation
• High ownership and autonomy to take ambiguous partner projects from scoping to production

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Development to understand partner needs
• Translate requirements into clear technical approaches
• Identify constraints, de-risk integrations, and define success criteria
• Lead the design of integrations with key partners
• Define system architecture across APIs, smart contracts, oracles, and custody solutions
• Architect around wallets, custody, KYC and access controls, compliance, liquidation tooling, monitoring, and operations
• Run architecture workshops to align on user journeys, liquidity strategies, and go-to-market
• Produce actionable deliverables such as architecture diagrams, specs, and integration playbooks
• Coordinate across protocol, product, infra, legal, risk, and growth teams to unblock launches
• Work closely with partner engineering teams to bring solutions to production
• Turn field learnings into better product, tooling, and documentation
• Identify recurring patterns and contribute to reference architectures and best practices
• Keep up with DeFi infrastructure, Ethereum, and regulatory developments
• Communicate complex topics clearly and effectively across teams and time zones
