What you will do

• Collaborate with team members and academic partners to analyze and optimize existing quantum algorithms
• Invent new quantum algorithms and discover novel application areas for fault-tolerant quantum computers
• Provide expertise on quantum algorithms and communicate developments to the broader team
• Interact with Quantum Error Correction team to understand algorithm-error correction interplay
• Publish research papers and present at conferences
• Mentor research interns on scientific projects

Requirements

• PhD in operations research, applied mathematics, theoretical computer science, or equivalent (currently has or in process)
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, numerical optimization, parallel/distributed computing, or high-performance computing
• Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery

Nice to have

• Programming in Python, Java, C++
• Domain expertise in quantum chemistry, simulation, machine learning, optimization, cryptography
• Deep understanding of quantum error correction impact on algorithms
• Experience with resource estimates for quantum applications
