Global Tax Manager (SaaS)

TL;DR

Global Tax Manager (Finance): Overseeing all direct US and International tax activities with an accent on tax compliance and regulatory changes. Focus on managing ASC 740 calculations, corporate income tax returns, and coordinating global VAT reporting.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in San Ramon, CA; 3 days a week in-office required)

Salary: $82,300 - $229,500 USD

What you will do

• Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including GILTI, BEAT, and FDII.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of corporate income tax returns across US federal, state, and international jurisdictions.
• Maintain SOX controls for all tax workpapers and coordinate with outsourced public accounting firms.
• Collaborate with state, local, federal, and international tax authorities to resolve taxation issues.
• Manage international indirect tax compliance, including VAT and GST reporting.
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or equivalent industry experience.
• Deep technical expertise in ASC 740 (US GAAP) as it relates to multinational corporations.
• Strong knowledge of US Corporate and International tax laws.
• Must be based in San Ramon, CA and work from the office 3 days a week (M, W, TH).

Nice to have

• CPA certification and/or MS in Taxation.
• Experience with Netsuite, Logisense, or Avalara.
