TL;DR

Designer, Vehicle OS (Automotive): Designing in-vehicle interfaces including digital instrument clusters, touchscreens, and head-up displays with an accent on user experience and design systems. Location: Hybrid (Must report to the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, MI at least 3 times per week)

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional design, software, and engineering teams to craft premier user experiences.
• Develop production interaction designs adhering to established design guidelines.
• Create deliverables including sketches, drawings, mockups, animations, and prototypes.
• Release production specifications and assets to software engineering teams.
• Present design work to peers and leadership and participate in design critiques.
• Advocate for aesthetics and visual design principles during execution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience creating digital interfaces for web, mobile, or in-vehicle systems.
• Formal degree in Interface Design, Visual Design, or a related discipline.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX expertise, interaction design, and creativity.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• No immigration sponsorship available (must have existing work authorization).

Nice to have

• Prototyping experience in software or hardware development.
• Ability to identify and apply new technology to achieve design goals.
• Deep understanding of the automotive competitive landscape.
