What you will do

• Manage day-to-day activities of property underwriters and support staff to ensure operational excellence.
• Develop and execute business and marketing strategies within the Northeast geographic territory.
• Balance team workloads, maintain staffing levels, and oversee the overall quality of the unit's performance.
• Underwrite new and renewal business for small to middle market property risks on primary and excess bases.
• Provide training, coaching, and career planning to ensure proper staff development and bench strength.
• Perform periodic audits to measure underwriting expertise and ensure compliance with company philosophy.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of Wholesale Property Underwriting experience, specifically in the Small to Middle Market.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience managing underwriters.
• Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions and achieve business goals.
• Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must have valid US Work Authorization (no sponsorship available).
