Senior Backend/Platform Developer (C#/.NET/Node): Building a unified ID ecosystem and self-publishing platform for a mid-core RPG with an accent on identity management and bridging web and game backend systems. Focus on implementing secure OAuth/SSO systems, integrating in-game rewards with web tools, and scaling the community platform.

Location: Hybrid - Montreal, Canada (2–3 days/week at Basecamp). Must be based in Montreal or open to relocating.

What you will do

• Build and own the unified player ID ecosystem and account system connecting game and web.
• Bridge the gap between the web team and the game development team.
• Connect in-game events, rewards, and purchases to the website.
• Implement tracking infrastructure to justify marketing and user acquisition spend.
• Scale the website into a full publishing and community platform.
• Integrate web-facing tools with the MetaPlay game backend.

Requirements

• Experience working on AAA gaming platforms (e.g., Battle.net, Riot, Ubisoft).
• Proven track record of building unified login/identity systems at scale.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, Node, and Python.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth, SSO, and token management.
• Experience with RESTful API development and message queuing.
• Must be based in or open to relocating to Montreal.

Nice to have

• AWS experience (CDNs, infrastructure).
• Knowledge of the Go programming language.
• Experience with real-time systems or live chat.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
