What you will do

• Develop and maintain applications using Synon/Cool2E on IBM i / AS400 platforms.
• Design and optimize COBOL-based programs and batch processes for pharmacy claims adjudication.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues to ensure system stability and performance.
• Translate PBM and healthcare business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead code reviews and establish development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate on integration efforts and support data exchange via EDI and APIs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience with Synon development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL programming within enterprise environments.
• Extensive experience working with IBM i (AS400) platforms.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting high-volume transaction and batch processing systems.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
• Must be able to work onsite at corporate or client offices as necessary.
