What you will do

• Manage daily workshop operations to ensure the environment is safe, organized, and ready for training.
• Prepare, set up, and reset machinery and tools for practical training sessions.
• Assist Academy Trainers during practical activities, ensuring all resources are functioning.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on tools and machinery and escalate technical issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding requirements.
• Supervise apprentices in the workshop to promote safe working practices and professional behavior.

Requirements

• Background or strong interest in engineering and/or agriculture.
• Willingness to work towards enhanced DBS clearance.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to follow safety instructions in a workshop.
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• An engineering or agricultural qualification (or currently working towards one).
• Experience in mentoring or supporting others in a learning environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements specifically for workshop settings.
