Data Engineer (Azure/Snowflake)

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and optimize dbt models for Snowflake and Azure-based lakehouse workloads.
• Engineer ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows across Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Implement performance tuning, cost optimization, and data modeling best practices for Snowflake.
• Automate data workflows using high-quality SQL, Python, and PowerShell.
• Partner with business teams and DBAs to translate data requirements into robust engineering solutions.

Requirements

• BS in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory and Snowflake (warehousing, Snowpipe, RBAC).
• Proficiency with dbt and advanced SQL skills for complex datasets.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.
• Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure GCC High, IL5, or other high-security cloud environments.
• Familiarity with SQL Server administration concepts.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar CI/CD and version control tools.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, lineage, and cataloging tools.
