Location: Work flexibly from Germany, UK, Italy, France, Ireland, Portugal or Spain; monthly Paris office visits are required (fully reimbursed).

What you will do
- Own the long-term ML strategy, including training foundational models from scratch.
- Scale and lead a team of ~10 ML Engineers and Researchers while maintaining a culture of excellence.
- Drive breakthrough innovation in AI photo editing to redefine industry standards.
- Act as the primary bridge between ML and Product, Sales, and Engineering teams.
- Establish comprehensive evaluation frameworks and visionary technical direction.
- Attract and mentor top-tier technical talent in the Computer Vision field.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading ML/AI teams at product companies with strategic decision-making experience.
- Deep expertise in Computer Vision, Diffusion, and GenAI with hands-on large model training.
- Proven track record of training foundational models with billion+ parameters end-to-end.
- Experience scaling teams of 8+ people, including hiring and mentorship.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Sales, and Engineering.
- Technical depth to debug complex training failures and analyze performance bottlenecks.
