What you will do

• Own design, implementation, and support of high-performance compute (HPC) clusters for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Lead architecture of HPC storage with expertise in parallel file systems like Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS.
• Apply knowledge of CPU/GPU architectures, interconnects, and storage to deliver balanced solutions.
• Create hardware BOMs, coordinate with vendors, and manage hardware releases.
• Design and optimize Linux OS for HPC, provide golden images, procedures, and documentation.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues, handling troubleshooting and EOL activities.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related; minimum 8 years experience with BS, 6 with MS.
• 5+ years in HPC systems, storage, or large-scale Linux infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on expertise in HPC storage, parallel systems, and distro-agnostic Linux (Rocky, RHEL, SuSE, Ubuntu).
• Strong HPC hardware knowledge (servers, GPUs, networking, storage, BIOS/BMC).
• Advanced Linux skills (PXE/netboot, systemd, HA), networking fundamentals, scripting in Shell/Python.
• Experience with configuration management (Salt, Puppet, Chef).

Nice to have

• DevOps mindset with CI/CD, Git, infrastructure as code.
• Containers for HPC (Singularity, Docker).
• Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), Apache/Nginx.
