What you will do

• Design and build cloud-native microservices in Go that form the backbone of a real-time payments platform.
• Develop highly available, low-latency, and scalable systems handling billions of payment requests.
• Take full ownership of services from initial design and implementation to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate in flat, autonomous teams with a focus on code quality, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize modern tooling including Kubernetes, CockroachDB, and NATS JetStream in a highly automated DevOps environment.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
• Professional experience with Go and a "right tool for the job" mentality.
• Familiarity with cloud/containerization technologies, test automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong appreciation for clean code and software engineering best practices.
• Must be based in Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, or the UK.
