What you will do

• Deliver new features for the Mimir OSS project and Grafana Cloud Metrics to solve customer problems.
• Design, build, and maintain critical distributed systems, owning their reliability and performance.
• Collaborate on design documents and write/review PRs for large-scale databases.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations to ensure system availability.
• Contribute to the open-source ecosystem and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Go (familiarity with Python, C, C++, or Rust is also applicable).
• Experience developing cloud software or systems engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering projects from requirements gathering to production.
• Experience with the DevOps model and on-call rotations.
• Familiarity with observability systems (metrics, logs, traces).
• Must be based in Spain, Germany, the UK or Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Kubernetes and queue systems like Kafka.
• Operational experience using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
